Prior to practicing Astanga yoga, I had been doing aerobics and weight lifting for six years. I thought I was strong and in great shape until I started doing this type of yoga. To me, Astanga yoga is a combination of strength, flexibility, and balance, both physically as well as mentally. The more I practiced yoga, I realized that it not only gave me physical balance but balance in other areas of my everyday life. Yoga is balance of mind, body and soul. Teaching yoga not only enhances my own practice, but allows me to share in the experience of another's progress and discovery.

Monthly Intensive
Monthly Intensives will return to the Portsmouth Studio in September. Mimi will be teaching these monthly classes the first Saturday of each month. Join Mimi on Saturday, September 6, 9:30 - 11:30 a.m.
